The aim of the weekly comment is to serve as an outlet for my investigations and study in the field of investment. I am in the process of studying towards my CFP (Certified Financial Planner) through which I have expanded my knowledge exponentially, as well as learning as much as possible about investment fundamentals through reading.

When I suggest advice, or offer an opinion, I prefer that the source of my knoweldge be based on the application of my knowledge and learning. Thus I would give advice that I would be willing to take, or, preferably have taken myself.

In times of relative economic calm my aim is for long term growth. In times of economic turmoil, into which we are currently heading, my aim is to maximise wealth retention.
